CHELSEA, LUXURY TOWNHOUSE
GZ Interior Design was commissioned by the owner of this house in Chelsea, to completely re-imagine the space. We reconfigured the layout of the rooms on almost every floor, creating bedroom suites with en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms as well as redesigning the kitchen and relocating and redesigning all bathrooms.
The basement level of this London townhouse was reconfigured to create an open plan kitchen, dining room and family room. As the ceilings are relatively low the prefect solution was to have Venetian polished plaster applied to walls and ceiling, which bounces light around the room.
CHELSEA RESIDENCE : KITCHEN,DINING ROOM & FAMILY ROOM
Within the basement the audio visual equipment was housed beneath the stairs. To conceal this and the stairs we designed an articulated wall of antiqued mirror panels, which also reflect light.
The handmade chandelier, constructed of thousands of tiny strands of nickel chain, along with the mid 19th century English elm and oak table and rare mid 20th century Kaare Klint chairs are reflected back in the mirrored wall.
CHELSEA RESIDENCE - DRESSING ROOM
Even in the most sophisticated setting such as a master dressing room, add a lighter touch with interesting lighting solutions.

CHELSEA RESIDENCE - GUEST ROOM
A fun space for visitors, the small guest room was treated to a fun burst of colour with Toile de Jouey wallpaper and bespoke bedding.
